Virtual Member Orientation Sessions - FREE
Member Orientation Sessions offer you an opportunity to get to know High Five and the opportunities to get involved. You’ll get a tour of our facility (if in-person), discover the story of community access television, learn about our rules, and talk about your project. These free sessions for members are required if you plan to take a workshop, submit a video, or hire us to produce a project.
This is a VIRTUAL event and the Google Hangout link will be shared with participants via email upon registration.

Mobile Video Workshop - FREE

Prerequisites: You must be a current member of High Five Access Media and have attended a Member Orientation Session to register.
Learn how to use your smart device and maximize its capabilities to express your artistry through video. We’ll show you the basics of composing and exposing an image, as well as editing on the same device.
This workshop is a great introduction to video production and High Five Access Media, and a springboard to other opportunities to hone your video production and media-making skills. Once you complete this workshop, explore our other offerings, including camera basics, editing basics, and advanced camera.

Camera Basics - FREE

Prerequisites: You must be a current member of High Five Access Media and have attended a Member Orientation Session to register.
This workshop gives you the skills to get out there and start creating video. Learn how to compose and expose an image, get familiar with basic operations of our Canon cameras, select the right microphone to capture clear audio and mount cameras on a tripod to get a stable image. You’ll also get hands-on practice shooting footage that you’ll use to piece together a tutorial or short video in Editing Basics. Editing Basics - FREE

Prerequisites: You must be a current member of High Five Access Media and have attended a Member Orientation Session to register.
Want to learn the basics of computer video editing? This workshop is for you. We’ll show you how to navigate Final Cut X, piece together video clips with effective cuts, spice up your project with b-roll, lay down an audio track, create simple graphics, and export a final video for the web, social media or broadcast. Advanced Camera Workshop - $40

Teen Film Camp - $200 (Scholarships Available)
July 22 to July 26, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Register
Discover and develop a passion for video storytelling! Learn the fundamentals of video production and use those skills to write, produce and edit an original short film. No prior experience required, just a readiness to learn and a love of movies, TV or journalism.
