Vail Town Council Candidate Forum
Save the date for the Vail Town Council candidate forum on Sept. 16 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Donovan Pavilion.
The forum, hosted by the Vail Chamber and Business Association and High Five Access Media, is open to the public and offers voters an opportunity to learn about the office-seekers vying for four open seats on the Vail Town Council. The event is made possible by the Vail Board of Realtors and will be moderated by local radio personality Tony Mauro and features questions on issues pertinent to the town.

vail america days parade 2019
Honor the achievements of the 10th Mountain Division this July 4 by joining High Five Access Media for live coverage of the Vail America Days Parade.
The local community access television station will be live from Lionshead with a short preshow beginning at 10:30 a.m. The parade is estimated to roll through around 10:45 a.m., with play-by-play coverage from microphone controller Tony Mauro.
The theme of this year’s parade honors the 10th Mountain Division, whose soldiers were instrumental in the creation of the ski industry and continue to serve our country today.

Want to get experience on a live television production? We need volunteer community producers, just like you, to help crew our video coverage of the Vail America Days Parade on July 4. We're looking for up to five volunteers from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the following crew positions:
- 3 camera operators to capture compelling images of the parade
- 2 production assistants to coil cable, help camera operators, and conduct man-on-the-street interviews with the crowd

Civic Engagement Expands
The Town of Vail, in partnership with High Five Access Media, is expanding its regular video recordings of board and commission meetings with the addition of Vail Local Housing Authority proceedings. The Vail Local Housing Authority meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 3 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers. The public is welcome to attend and participate in the meetings. Once recorded, the Housing Authority meetings will be available for viewing on local cable Channel 5 and on demand from High Five Access Media at highfivemedia.org/town-vail. “The importance of the work of the Vail Local Housing Authority has never been greater as we continue our shared efforts to address the housing needs of the Vail community,” said Steve Lindstrom, chair of the Vail Local Housing Authority. “Through our partnership with High Five Access Media, we intend to bring added transparency to our meetings and encourage broader community conversation and awareness to our housing challenges.”

vail and high five expand coverage of town boards and commissions
The Town of Vail, in partnership with High Five Access Media, is expanding its regular video recordings of board and commission meetings with the addition of Design Review Board and Planning and Environmental Commission proceedings. The recordings will begin Wednesday, Oct. 3 during the regular meeting of the Design Review Board, followed by the Planning and Environmental Commission on Monday, Oct. 8.
Once recorded, these meetings will be available for viewing on local cable Channel 5 and on demand from High Five Access Media at highfivemedia.org with the possibility for live broadcasts in the future. The DRB meets the first and third Wednesday of the month, while the PEC meets the second and fourth Monday of the month. Both meetings are held in the Vail Town Council Chambers. Agendas are available online at vailgov.com.

avon town council candidate forum 2018
High Five Access Media announces a public forum featuring candidates for the 2018 Avon Town Council election.
The campaign season is expected to be lively with eight candidates on the ballot to fill four slots. The forum takes place Oct. 4 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Avon Town Council chambers at 1 Lake Street, Avon, Colorado. The forum will offer an opportunity for the Avon electorate to evaluate candidates in a side-by-side forum. Each candidate will have equal time to answer questions on a variety of topics, which will be presented by moderator Rich Carroll.
