The Education Foundation of Eagle County exists because Colorado has a big problem when it comes to properly funding education. Colorado ranks 50th in teacher wage competitiveness and 45th in the percentage of taxable resources spent on education. Because of this Eagle County and Colorado continue to face significant challenges in attracting and retaining teachers and school staff. Each year, EFEC partners with High Five Access Media to bring the community coverage of its signature event, Project Funway. This event raises money to support the Education Foundation of Eagle County across all areas of its mission, helping Eagle County students, teachers, and schools through grants, awards, programs, mental health issues, and more!
