State of the River 2018
The Eagle River Water and Sanitation District hosts its annual discussion of the community's waterways. State climatologist Becky Bolinger addresses the significance of this year's snowpack, both locally and downstream. Next, Brent Newman of the Colorado Water Conservation Board discusses the 7 states involved in the 1922 Colorado River Compact and what they're doing to mitigate shrinking water supplies. Then, Andy Mueller presents on the water priorities of the Western Slope. Following that, a larger discussion on the downward trend of local water use. Finally, Seth Mason introduces the Eagle River Watershed Council's exciting new project focused on the integrated water management plan.
